DMV Certified Teen Driver Education Courses

This course is for teenagers who have a current Vermont Learner's Permit, and meet all state requirements

  • 30 hours of group classroom training. Attendance for all classes required.

  • 6 hours of driving, 6 hours of driving observation. Students must also be able to attend one or two driving appointments each week during the session. For Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer I classes, driving appointments are scheduled Mon-Thurs before and after school. Group classes are separate from driving appointments.

  • Classes are offered at the Williston Recreation and Parks, 94 Harvest Lane R.E.C. Zone).

  • Please note that you may be required to schedule at least a few 6:45am driving appointments.

  • If you are not able to commit to the above attendance and driving appointment requirements please do not enroll.

  • Enrollment is handled by Williston Recreation and Parks. Tap the enrollment link for more information and to enroll. You will need to sign in as a user for Williston Rec & Parks to enroll.

  • All students who meet DMV qualifications are eligible for a complimentary 3rd Party DMV road test.

Schedules:

2026 Winter Session

  • Wednesdays (remote) 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Sundays (in person) 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.

  • Scheduled dates: December 6, 9, 13, 16, 20, 23, January 6, 10, 13, 17, 20, 24, 27, 31, February 3, 7

  • There is a mandatory orientation on December 6 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

  • Driving appointments will be 1 1/2 hours in length and only once a week for students. Driving appointments are separate from scheduled group classes.‍ ‍

2027 Spring Session

  • Wednesday classes are virtual 6:00-8:00pm

  • Sundays classes are held in person 10:00-12:00pm.

  • There is a mandatory In-Person orientation on Monday, March 1 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

  • Schedules dates: March 1, 3, 7, 10, 14, 17, 21, 24, 31, April 4, 7, 11, 14, 28, May 2, 5 (Make-up Day)

  • Driving appointments will be 1 1/2 hour in length and only once a week for students. You will be required to drive weekday mornings before school (6:45-8:15am) and/or after school (4:00-5:30pm). Do not register if you are not able to make driving appointments at either of those times.
