DMV Certified Teen Driver Education Courses

This course is for teenagers who have a current Vermont Learner's Permit, and meet all state requirements

  • 30 hours of group classroom training. Attendance for all classes required.

  • 6 hours of driving, 6 hours of driving observation. Students must also be able to attend one or two driving appointments each week during the session. For Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer I classes, driving appointments are scheduled Mon-Thurs before and after school. Group classes are separate from driving appointments.

  • Classes are offered at the Williston Recreation and Parks, 94 Harvest Lane R.E.C. Zone).

  • Please note that you may be required to schedule at least a few 6:45am driving appointments.

  • If you are not able to commit to the above attendance and driving appointment requirements please do not enroll.

  • Enrollment is handled by Williston Recreation and Parks. Tap the enrollment link for more information and to enroll.

  • All students who meet DMV qualifications are eligible for a complimentary 3rd Party DMV road test.

Schedules:

2026 Spring Session

  • Wednesday classes are remote, Sundays classes are held in person.

  • Scheduled dates: March 4, 8, 11, 15, 18, 22, 25, 29, April 1, 8, 12, 15, 26, 29, May 3 *April 12 class remote*

  • There is a mandatory orientation on March 4 from 6:00p-8:00p

  • Driving appointments will be 1 1/2 hours in length and only once a week for students. Driving appointments are separate from scheduled group classes.

    2026 Summer Session

  • Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Sundays 6:00-8:00 p.m.

  • Classes are a combination of remote and in person. Classes below in blue are remote, classes in bold are in person.

  • Scheduled dates: May 26, 27, 31, June 3, 7, 10, 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, 24, 29, 30, July 1.

  • There is a mandatory in-person orientation on May 26 from 6:30pm-8:30pm

  • Driving appointments are separate from scheduled group classes and will be two hours on length, once a week.

  • Driving appointments will be after school and on weekends for the first three weeks of class then scheduled throughout the day on weekdays when summer break starts.2 hours in length and only once a week for students. Driving appointments are separate from scheduled group classes.

2026 Fall Session

  • Wednesdays (remote) 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Sundays (in person) 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.

  • Schedules dates: September 27, 30, October 4, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 25, 28, November 1, 4, 8, 11, 15, 18

  • There is a mandatory in person orientation on September 27 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

  • Driving appointments will be 1 1/2 hours in length and only once a week for students. Driving appointments are separate from scheduled group classes.

2026 Winter Session

  • Wednesdays (remote) 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Sundays (in person) 10:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m.

  • Scheduled dates: December 6, 9, 13, 16, 20, 23, January 6, 10, 13, 17, 20, 24, 27, 31, February 3, 7

  • There is a mandatory orientation on December 6 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

  • Driving appointments will be 1 1/2 hours in length and only once a week for students. Driving appointments are separate from scheduled group classes.
